Business
Settings > Business holds the business's name, its kind of organisation, how long conversations are kept, and closing the business. Only owners can change them.
Sender name
The business name. Replies show it followed by "Support" as the sender, such as Fernhill Coffee Support, and it is the first line of each email's footer. It is also the business's name across Airmailer. Emails sent after a change use the new name.
Kind of organisation
Decides which documents Knowledge recommends adding. See Business name.
Data retention
How long conversations are kept: Keep forever, 2 years, 1 year or 6 months. See Managing conversations.
Closing the business
Close this business asks first, in a dialog titled "Close Fernhill Coffee?", and then Close business:
- Pip stops drafting and sending replies.
- A paid plan is cancelled, so it isn't renewed.
- The team can still sign in, but sees only a page that says the business is closed and when everything is deleted.
- 30 days later, the business's conversations, customers, Knowledge and settings are deleted, and so are the accounts of people with no other business in Airmailer.
Reopening
Until the deletion date, an owner can sign in and choose Reopen this business. Airmailer opens Settings with Pip still paused: turn off Pause Pip under Settings > Automatic sending to have Pip draft again. Reopening doesn't undo the plan's cancellation: under Settings > Plan and billing, the plan still ends on its date unless it is kept in Manage billing. After the deletion date, the business can't be reopened.
