Ask Pip
Ask Pip, in the top bar, opens a panel beside the page; in Settings, Change settings with Pip opens it too. Type a question of up to 2,000 characters under Question or change and press Enter, or choose one of the example questions. Esc closes the panel. The panel stays open as you move between pages; on a wide screen it sits next to the page, otherwise over it.
Questions about Airmailer
Pip answers questions such as "How do I add a price list?" or "Which DNS records does sending from our support address need?" from these help pages and your business's settings. Pages named in an answer, such as Knowledge, are links.
Questions about the Inbox
Pip reads the Inbox as you can see it.
- Finding conversations: "Which conversations need attention?", "Show this week's newsletter replies" or "Conversations tagged Refunds from the last 30 days". The conversations found are listed under the answer as links, up to 10.
- Explaining a reply: with a conversation open, "Why wasn't this sent automatically?" explains why Pip's latest draft is awaiting approval, was sent automatically or was discarded.
Suggestions
Pip can suggest a change, shown as a card. Nothing changes until you choose the card's button; Cancel leaves everything as it is.
| Suggestion | Button | Who |
|---|---|---|
| A writing style, an Automatic sending option or an email font | Apply change | Owners |
| Resolving open conversations with no activity for 7 days or more, listed by subject | Resolve 12 conversations, with the number | Everyone |
| Adding someone to the team, by an address you typed in the question | Add team member | Owners |
A suggestion to send more drafts automatically shows how automatic sending went in the last 90 days, as Settings > Automatic sending does.
Questions for the Airmailer team
When the help pages don't answer a question about Airmailer, or you ask to reach a person, Pip suggests sending the question to the Airmailer team on a card.
- Check the question under Question, and change it if needed.
- Choose Email the Airmailer team.
The email includes your name, your email address, whether you are an owner or a member, your business's name and plan, and the question. The Airmailer team replies by email to the address you signed in with. Up to 5 questions a day can be sent this way; you can also email support@airmailer.app.
What Pip can't do in Ask Pip
- Send, edit or discard drafts, or write replies: that happens in the Inbox.
- Change anything other than the suggestions above, such as the logo, the team's roles, the plan or tags. Pip names the page and Settings section where it is done.
- Read the documents in Knowledge, or know about your business beyond its settings and its Inbox.
Limits
- Up to 40 questions an hour per person.
- Answers count toward this month's usage. When this month's usage is used up, Ask Pip is unavailable until it resets or an owner upgrades the plan, and the panel shows Open Plan and billing. See Plan and billing. Ask Pip is also unavailable while the monthly AI spending limit is reached.
- Stop answer, next to the field while Pip is answering, stops the answer.
