Product list
If your shop doesn't use Shopify, upload your products as a CSV file. Pip then answers questions about your products, prices, options and stock from it.
Uploading the list
- Open Knowledge, then Products.
- Under Product list, choose Upload product list and select the file.
Pip uses the list from the next email on. Each upload replaces the whole list, so always upload the full list. Replace product list uploads a new one; Remove product list removes it. Only owners can upload or remove the list.
Download template downloads an example file with every column.
Columns
One row per product, with a header row. Only name is required; add any other columns you have.
| Column | What to put in it |
|---|---|
| name | The product's name. Also read from title or product. |
| category | Such as Coffee or Merchandise. Pip finds products by it. Also read from type. |
| price | Such as 12.50 or 12,50. |
| currency | Such as EUR or USD. Euros if you leave it out. |
| stock | How many you have (24), or in stock or sold out. |
| options | Sizes, colours or grinds, in your own words, with prices if they differ: 250 g (€12.50) or 1 kg (€42.00). |
| sku | Your product code. |
| description | What a customer should know about the product. |
| url | The product's page in your shop, which Pip can link to. |
| image | A link to the product's picture. |
A file can have up to 5,000 products and be up to 2 MB. Rows without a name are left out, and the page lists every row with a problem.
Stock
Pip reads stock as it was when you uploaded the list, and says so instead of promising that something is in stock. Upload a new list when stock changes a lot.
In Documents
The list also appears under Documents as Product list. It can't be edited or deleted there: upload a new list, or remove it, under Products.
